Need adjunct faculty with expertise in sociological research methods.

Adjunct teaching applicants are expected to have strong communications skills, be experienced in teaching at the post-secondary education level, and have work experiences in the discipline in which they expect to teach. Applicants are expected to have a minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Master’s degree in sociology, behavioral science, social work, or human services.

• Understanding of the mission and values of Wilmington University.

• Must possess good writing skills and be able to provide a writing sample.

• Must possess computer skills and be able to use MS Office software.

• Experience in using Black Board technology a plus.

• Must be willing to go through Wilmington University’s 3-week online training program so as to demonstrate Bb mastery in the classroom.

• Must be able to abide by tight deadlines required of a 7 week Block format curriculum.

• Must have knowledge of various instructional strategies designed to meet the course instructional objectives and add to student learning.

• Must be able to develop a personalized course outline designed to follow a generic syllabus provided by the University.

• Must be able to provide relevant work experience to the instructional content of the course.

• Qualified Applicants will be asked to present a 10-minute teaching sample for the Program’s Director and Chair as part of the interview process.
